Implicações da Obra de March e Simon para as Teorias das Organizações e Tomada de Decisão

Abstract


O livro Organizations de autoria de March e Simon (1958) é uma das principais referências nos estudos organizacionais. A obra é um marco por apresentar conceitos e teorias que ainda hoje permeiam as investigações científicas na área. Neste texto apresento uma síntese dos sete capítulos que compõe a obra original. Posteriormente efetuo uma discussão destes elementos, com vistas na identificação das possíveis lacunas para os estudos em tomada de decisão. Para isso são resgatados alguns trabalhos seminais que foram influenciados ou que discutiram os impactos da obra para o desenvolvimento deste campo de estudo. Uma das principais contribuições desse texto é o fato de sintetizar em poucas páginas alguns dos conceitos e teorias que moldaram as investigações do campo organizacional. Os resultados fornecem ainda, alguns importantes indícios sobre os possíveis avanços das pesquisas científicas que se relacionam com a tomada de decisão.
